Fridays June 5 & 19

Family Fridays at the NatureSphere -  6:30 to 7:30pm

Ages 5 years and up with an adult. This program features the full-dome movie “Astronaut” preceded by a fun, family-friendly planetarium presentation about current happenings in our night sky. Tickets are $6. Due to dark conditions, we cannot seat late arrivals once the show has begun. Please arrive early to be seated. To see a preview of the film, please click here.

Saturdays  – June 6 and 20

Star Storytelling: Our Constellations (Parent/Child) – 11 to 11:30am

Ages 3-8 years with an adult. Let your little one discover the stories behind our favorite constellations through views of space, stories and song in our NatureSphere digital planetarium. The theme for this month is “Bootes the Herdsman”. Tickets are $3 per person with Robinson daily admission or annual pass.

Wednesday, June 10 & 24

 ”Nano” Small Wonder Experience - 10:30am – 12:30pm

All ages. Stop by the new “Nano” exhibit on the Mezzanine level, and join staff from the Port Discovery Children’s Museum for hands-on activities that explore science, engineering and technology on a nanoscale (at the level of individual atoms and molecules). No pre-registration necessary. See for more information about the Nano exhibit on loan from Port Discovery through August.

Saturdays  – June 13 and 27

Discovery Days – 11:30 AM to Noon

Ages 3-10 years with an adult. Learn about native plants and animals through games, stories and crafts. Themes vary each week. This program is available on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 15 children and their adult chaperone. No registration necessary. Program is free with daily admission or annual pass.

Saturday, June 27

Bats, Banjos and Bonfires – 8 – 9:30pm

Ages 7 years and up with an adult. Come explore the river edges and forest depths with Nature Center guides in search of bats using echolocators. Get up close with one of our favorite nocturnal animals. Afterwards, get cozy while roasting marshmallows over the campfire to the accompaniment of live banjo music.
